Photo | Friday Flare

Bugis Village | Back Alley In The EveningHad a flare on Friday, the eve of my favourite days of the week - yes... the weekend! The flare of having a long weekend it seems when I spend time outside on Friday after work.

This is the 11th post of my Photography blog which I started with Click! Singapore section.

Taken with my S700i Sony Ericsson cell phone, I took some normal sights I see whenever I go for Friday prayers, and additional photos I snapped while going to my wife's shop after work to give a surprise with dinner and spent time with her at the shop until closing time.

The photos did not turn out that well or sharp considering the cell phone is not good to take photos with low light as it was evening at Bugis Village then. Click photo for more.

  • Hello Friday,

    Did not really thought about it like that before, but I was glad I did it anyway. Her surprise face was nice to behold.

    I just wanted to be with her after a week of me and my work, and she with hers. I had spent time with my son all through the weekday nights, so I felt that I was missing her a little.

    That was about all, but now you made me realize a deeper meaning to my spontaneous action. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

    I love to take pictures as there are so many everyday, but beautiful sights that I wish to put in my blog for myself and everyone too.

  • I really like the photo. The contrast between the sunset and the sillouette of the buildings is very nice. And I agree with Fridays child. It is so nice to surpise your wife with dinner. That's a good husband.

    Wandi | You made me smile again when I read your message, just like Friday's Child's did. A good start to the weekend - my happiest days of the week!

    Well, the colour of the sky was like a painting, and with the colourful foreground of the pre-war houses matched nicely, I just could not resist, but to snap a few photos.

    Thanks again for that kind message.

    Alex | It turned-out quite alright considering it was taken with a cell phone at low light. The one with the yellow spiral staircases is one of my favourites.

    I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out good on screen once I downloaded it to my PC, because I cannot really tell when I viewed it on my cell phone first.
