Abode | Son's Aquarium

Finally I have done something most satisfying for the week.

Went off with my son to the neighbourhood Aquarium Store and bought some stuff for the set-up of a new aquarium for him since his fish breeding programme he learnt from school was so successful that the guppies are procreating as we speak.

Using the old 2 by 1 Ft aquarium, unused after so long, the new tank breathes "new life" for the fish and for me too.

This tank gives me the tranquility I desperately require daily, just by watching it. An outlet for me to forget the daily hassles and just relax my mind. I am loving every minute of it. Click photo for more.

Abode | In Bloom2

Got called from work on a what would have been a wonderful, sunny Sunday.

After a hectic rush of stress and frustrations to untie the web of failures, coming back on a bus ride was a mix of quiet and relaxed scenery watching along the bus route and the wonderful blooms I got to witness all around me in my neighbourhood.

The spalshes of colourful flowers, do cheer you even after a not-so-good day at work on a waht could have been a perfect Sunday with the family. Click photo for more.

Family | Dad's Well

I was gleaming with joy when I left the doctor's room.

My Dad had his second follow-up check-up with SHG's Colorectal Surgent/Consultant that did his removal surgery. The results were good.

His wound from the surgery has totally recovered. His energy level up to the norm as before as he has started to venture out to the markets buying groceries and doing the house chores with Mom together as before.

This blood test for tumorous cells... whatever serum level is at 1.7 from a dangerous clinical level of 3.5 as was before his surgery.

The next follow-up check-up frequency has decreased to 3 monthly instead. I am happy for him. I am thankful to Allah for his blessings to have my family be with my Dad for longer.

The little outing with him alone at Bistro Delifrance was a good bonding for me personally. Click photo for more.

Family | Simply Twelve

4th September was our 12th Wedding Anniversay.

Did not get to plan well since we both were caught up with tons of work - me with the ever-urgent customers' requests for reports and updates, while she, with my help off work, was busy with the newly opened pushcart or kiosk at OUB Centre in Raffles Place.

Instead, we had a simple time set-up just the two of us, having lunch at our favourite haunt and bought her something that she would definitely need, since she is now a business woman.

Got an SMS greeting from our friend, whom we met on our honeymoon 12 years ago in Padang Sumatra, Indonesia. They celebrate their 12th year as well. Congrats to Ismail & Siti. Click photo for more.

Bodybuilding | HomeGym

Deprived of gym visits. I bought myself a Power Station 1800 HomeGym, and I could not be more happier.

Several weeks into the workout and I start to get compliments on my gains from the people around me. A kick start one level higher which was long overdue, when I hit the plateau.

A renewed enthusiasm for a religious workout came back when my new "investment" came into my home and in my spare bedroom.

It is my den where my work is done. It is also the family gymnasium where I do my weight training. Whereas my wife does her jogging exercise on her Aibi Gym Threadmill. I use the threadmill for my cardio too.

Finally, a complete whole-body workout in the comforts of my home. Click photo for more.

Photography | Facinating Buidings

Can never resist the sight of beautiful architecture, old or new.

Walking along the Singapore River, onward to Boat Quay and to Hill Street, many old buildings were given new life with the restoration works completed.

One such building is the Public Trustee with its candy-coloured windows sprawling majestically over the river. The one building that will surely catch your eye from far away.

Adding to the clean beauty along the street are new buildings. The National Library is one structure that I could never resist to take a picture of. All in white and environmental friendly design is a pleasing sight for the eyes. Click photo for more.

Family | Circular Road

Explored somewhere new a few days ago with my wife.

Discovered a Malay buffet style makan place right along Circular Road. Called Circular Corner Nasi Padang, the stall is preparing for the clubbing type of crowd that will frequent this coffe shop in the evenings.

Satay and Roti John seems to be the hot menu for the crowd as they prepare tons of them when we were there to have our late lunch.

Nice and quite place that afternoon amidst the normally bustling area in the heart of the Financial Centre. Took some photos for memory. Click photo for more.

Abode | In Bloom

Still hot weather, but rain brings reprieve and flowers bloom everywhere. Could not help but to snap photos of these blooms the ealiest chance I got.

All is green and the manicured grass on the turf is welcomed. Thanks to the Town Council. The flowers around my block are blooming beautifully.

Refreshing to look at going to work, nice to look at after a day's work in the office. Click photo for more.
